We manage deferred compensation 457 accounts, DROP and Investment Plan Rollovers for employed and retired LEO’s and staff.

Having spent 20 years working with Law Enforcement, we have a keen understanding of the particular needs and sensitivities to the profession. Additionally, the particularity of your retirement plans can be VERY tricky. We have over 20 years experience advising clients on the nuances associated with these plans and we provide accurate and actionable advice.

MEET THE TEAM

Nicolas Valdes-Fauli, CFP®

Founder and CEO, Thin Blue Line Financial

Mr. Valdes-Fauli has worked in the financial services industry since 2002. He was recruited into the Advisor Training Program at Smith Barney and later joined Morgan Stanley. After completing his CFP®, he could not reconcile the inherent conflicts of interest between large brokers and clients. In 2010 he joined the independent firm Main Street Financial Solutions, LLC.

Having a successful practice dedicated to Law Enforcement, Mr. Valdes-Fauli was inspired to establish a firm committed to defending and supporting the financial lives of Police Officers. With 19 years of experience Mr. Valdes-Fauli launched Thin Blue Line Financial in 2021.

Nicolas is a graduate of Choate Rosemary Hall and Wesleyan University. A dedicated father and husband, he enjoys running marathons and competing in Iron Man triathlons.

Susan Donatelli

Susan plays a pivotal role in enhancing the client experience at Thin Blue Line Financial. As our dedicated Client Service Associate, she takes charge of both the onboarding process for new clients and the ongoing servicing of our valued existing clients. Her extensive expertise includes a deep understanding of the intricate processes at Charles Schwab, the institution where all of Thin Blue Line Financial’s client assets are securely custodied. Her attention to detail, efficiency, and commitment to delivering top-notch service have been instrumental in elevating our clients’ financial experience. Outside of work, Susan enjoys watching her three children play soccer and spending time with her husband and two dogs.

Courtney Elliott

Courtney Elliott is the Chief Operations Officer at Thin Blue Line Financial. She works persistently and gracefully to facilitate smooth operational procedures to ensure compliance with regulators and to protect the interests of the firm’s clients. Courtney has over 20 years of experience working in executive Human Resources positions.

Terry Dzelzgalvis, CPA®

Terry Dzelzgalvis is the hardworking Chief Financial Officer at Thin Blue Line Financial. She is responsible for the firm’s financial activities and office operations. Terry holds a BS in Economics (majoring in accounting) from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she co-captained the women’s lacrosse team.
